A White Jaguar E Type convertible from Great Escape Classic Car Hire was star of the show at The Brit Awards 2011 when it appeared on stage with Paloma Faith and Cee Lo Green to close the show. The car was part of the British-themed Awards ceremony held at the O2 Arena in London on 15th February and attended by music industry gliterati.
Great Escape supplied a white 1972 Series 3 E Type convertible finished in white wth a black leather interior for the show. The Jaguar E Type, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2011, was the obvious choice to close the celebration of British music and culture.
The Jaguar E Type used on the stage is available for self drive hire by the day, weekend or week from Great Escape's site in Worcestershire, near the Cotswolds. The company also has an identical E Type for hire in Yorkshire from Harrogate.
"We are very pleased to be associated with such a high profile event," explains Graham Eason of Great Escape. "The E Type looked fabulous on stage, received a lot of positive comments from the artists and even a standing ovation from the backstage crew when we took it off stage."
Great Escape delivered the car to the O2 Arena in London on the 14th February at short notice. They provided a driver in full time attendance to assist with manouvring and cleaning the car.
"We do a lot of work for TV, film and production companies," adds Graham, "so we have the experience necessary to ensure everything runs smoothly even with very big events."
