Toyota carries out restyling Auris

Toyota Motor publishes official photos of the updated version of hatchback Auris for the European car market.

Hybrid assemblage will begin at factory Toyota in the Great Britain. The premiere of model will take place on an autumn motor show in Frankfurt, writes a site "New Japanese cars". Auris will borrow the hybrid engine at Prius the third generation. It consists of the 80-strong electromotor and the 1,8-litre engine power of 98HP.

Auris Hybrid will be cheaper new Prius and less in the sizes, with the best indicators of dynamics, profitability and harmful emissions. Crossover RAV4 in the end of 2009 becomes following hybrid premiere Toyota.

Toyota prepares the hybrid version of hatchback Auris

In the middle of next year company Toyota plans to start hybrid updating of hatchback Auris which will be made at factory in the Great Britain for the European car market. On it informs British edition Autocar referring to the message of the head of European division of Toyota Tadashi Arashima.

What hybrid power-plant will be used for a novelty not specified yet, however, under assumptions of some foreign editions, the car will receive units from model Prius of new generation. We will notice, that hybrid Toyota Prius is equipped with a power-plant using two electromotors and 1,8-litre petrol "four".

It's expected, that hybrid hatchback Toyota Auris will cost little bit less, than model Prius, the prices on which in Europe begin from 24,950 euros. Let's notice, that plans of the Japanese motor-car manufacturer include release by 2020 of hybrid versions for all cars.

Japanese corporation Toyota has cancelled the project on building in Europe joint with Isuzu Motor factory of diesel engines.

Two companies planned to organise the European manufacture of the 1,6-litre diesel unit by 2012. But now the motorcar giant management has decided to refuse accent on diesel models for the European car markets in favour of hybrid power-plants. Concern Toyota intends to expand export of hybrid Prius, and also to equip with hybrid units other European models, in particular Toyota Auris.
