2011 Mitsubishi Lancer X

Plugging the gaps: 2013 Mitsubishi Plug-in Hybrid

To make up some more miles to the gallon Mitsubishi has announced it will make the move to hybrid with its 2013 SUV
It will be based upon the Px-MiEV concept which was first unveilled at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. Though the details of the powertrain are still yet to be announced its role model debuted with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 116 PS and two electric motors that gave it a further 82 PS while the torque was 200 Nm. The concept has a 30 mile radius powered solely by electricity which by US measurements gives it 117 mpg.
