E Types proves it's retro cool

When Easy Living needed a cool 1970s convertible for its retro 70s fashion shoot the Great Escape Classic Car Hire Jaguar E Type was the obvious choice. 50 years after its launch the Jaguar E Type remains one of the most popular and beautiful classic cars of all time. And the Great Escape car's white and black colour scheme fitted the style of the photography perfectly.
The feature appears in the February 2011 issue of Easy Living and includes a series of full page fashion images shot in London last summer. We provide cars regularly for photo and film shoots so we were able to pull together a schedule and plan the logistics at very short notice to suit the magazine's tight deadline. The car was delivered to the shoot in central London with a driver who attended for several days, including an extension to the schedule which we were able to handle. The driver assisted during the shoot with moving the car into and out of shot.
Easy Living magazine was very pleased with Great Escape Classic Car Hire's participation and praised our driver, who helped out on location over and above his job description.

East Midlands Classic Car Hire Fleet Unveiled

Great Escape Classic Car Hire has announced its launch fleet for its new site in the East Midlands near Nottingham. The new location, which will serve Nottingham, Sheffield, Derby and M1/A1 corridor, launches with a hand-picked fleet of four cars.
The new East Midlandsclassic car hire fleet has a Rolls Royce Silver Spirit, Alfa Romeo Spider, Morris Minor convertible and classic Mini Cooper. This range of saloons and convertibles is available at a starting price of just £145 for 24 hours. Like the rest of the Great Escape fleet, the East Midlands cars will be backed by a transparent hire package which includes a full 24 hours use for every day booked, comprehensive insurance, full AA breakdown cover and unlimited mileage. All cars are subject to quarterly ramp inspections to maintain their reliability and an 18-point pre-hire inspection.

Rewind to the 1980s

When your business is running a classic car hire fleet you can end up spending quite a disproportionate amount of your time ruminating on what's going to be the next classic car that everyone will want to drive.

At Great Escape we like trying to second guess what cars people will want that we don't already have. Certain cars like MGBs, Jaguar E Types, Morris Minors and Jaguar Mk2 will always be popular. It's just coincidence that after we've spent the last few days being amazed by the snow-plugging power of the Great Escape Classic Car Hire Ford Capri S, we've gone and added a second Ford Capri to our classic hire fleet. Classic VW Golf GTI Mk1 now available to hire

The VW Golf GTI has come of age and been recognised as a true classic by the UK’s largest specialist classic car hire company. Nissan Viewt by Mitsuoka Motors

Perhaps, the most unusual among all Japanese motor-car manufacturers — Mitsuoka Motors — continues to go own by, anywhere not turning off, despite of safety rules changing towards strengthening. Modernisation of model Viewt which for the first time was issued in 1993 and now presented in second generation becomes the next proof to it.
